Why even have a blog? Seemingly everyone has a blog, these days. All peddling tips on How to be more (productive/mindful/focused/healthy/responsible) and so on and so forth. At the end of the day, most blogs spring from the natural desire to be heard and feel important.
I am also writing in part from a desire to be heard. Maybe people will read this and be driven to reflection or action, which would be the highest realization of my hopes for this website. My main reason for starting this blog, however, is simply to place a permanent portion of who I am onto the internet. Sans the disgusting presence of facebook, too. Sure, websites aren't actually indelible. They are far longer-lasting than half a page of scribbled lines, though.
